Yep I am reading my Bible again .
I'm done with trying to point out flaws in translations. It really gets us no where and only heats up debates which again go no where. So I am going about it the correct way. I pray for God to be with me as I am reading the Bible for him to give me a greater understanding of what I read. If he chooses to use me to share the information that I learn I will do so. I wont fight it on my own. (unless I feel a great need and I know exactly what I am talking about. )
Anyway, I have a question Reading Mark 1:43-44 the section where Jesus Cleanses a Leper. Jesus tells the man not to say anything but to go show himself to the priest and "offer for your cleansing those things which Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."
What was Moses Commands that Jesus speaks of here?

i've been reading proverbs, one of my favorite books in the bible.

recently i decided to read it again to dig a little deeper.

it's a wonderful book, telling us how we should live in a way god would be pleased.

Women should remain quiet, huh? Well, if that was so God would have not gave us a mouth and a voice. I'm not sticking to the remain quiet rule set by anyone unless I get arrested and I have the RIGHT to remain silent.

wow, you all gave me thoughts to think about. Borgia, interesting thoughts as well. I'm going to compare the verses that you mentioned. Something else came to mind. When modern translations of the Bible use 'she' the NWT that I looked at online so it is probably that way in their bible too, changes 'she' to 'it' . Does the WT have a thing against women?

I've been reading Proverbs, one of my favorite books in the Bible. Recently I decided to read it again to dig a little deeper. It's a wonderful book, telling us how we should live in a way God would be pleased.
I came across this verse Prov 8:27 which says When He prepared the heavens, I was there,
Prov. was primarly written by King Solom, if I understand that correctly. What is meant by the above verse? "I was there" King Solom? Is this trying to say that he was there with Jesus too?

Actually I only said yes to the invite to put my family at ease. Last month I said a little too much about the j-dubs while under the influence of alcohol. They let it slide and continue to act as if nothing happened. But my sister is still not acting completely normal with me. I figure if I go tomorrow it should do the trick.

Two-three hours won't kill me, I hope. I'm leaving right after the baptism.
Can you take this opportunity to take careful note of the questions they ask that group? Maybe you can video it so there is no question or denial of what was said.
Then you can come back here and post the questions. I am very curious as to if they changed again and added or taken more stuff out of the questions.

It's been all over the news. It's like when California gets rain. It is BIG news.
You know what is going to happen is that WTS will use this as a sign of the Lord coming not eventually but very soon.

The issue of Jw's being taught that Jesus did not raise bodily but as a spirit despite the fact that our Bibles, even the NWT say that it was not a spirit, "for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have." In the begining of the that verse Luke 24:36 it says Jesus Him self stood there" if Jesus was magically turned into Michael or a spirit wouldn't it have said The spirit of Jesus or Michael the Archangel stood there?

do you jehovahs witnesses know that none of your so called scholars who translated your bible had no hebrew or greek training whats so ever?

they didnt even have any university training whatsoever.

only fredrick franz went to college and left after 2 years without even an undergraduate degree.
